Foneology, founded by James Trusler, is one of Fiji's leading telecommunications services companies.
Foneology was launched in early 2006 because James identified the need to lift the standards of mobile phone repair services in Fiji. In other words, Fiji needed a company that could provide a cost effective phone repair service, and warranty repair services with a fast turn around time, an alternative to purchasing a new phone. James has more than eighteen years experience in Engineering and Management in the Telecommunications Industry. Additionally James holds Engineering and MBA degrees.
Foneology has grown from a small humble beginning to being a well established brand across Fiji.
In 2006 Foneology launched its mobile phone repair services in Fiji and went on to expand in the retail sector. Towards the end of 2012 Foneology reviewed its organisation and decided to exit from the retail business to concentrate on e-ticketing, GPS vehicle tracking and mobile phone repair and return services for the Pacific.
In 2011 Foneology launched a GPS Vehicle Tracking Service to corporate clients in Fiji.
In 2012 Foneology was accredited by the Fiji Land Transport Authority (LTA) as a public transport electronic ticketing solution provider. In addition to this Foneology in partnership with Vodafone was accredited as a back office provider for electronic ticketing in Fiji.
Electronic ticketing is a Government of Fiji initiative and a national project for the Fijian Government. It is one of the most transparent systems ever to be implemented in Fiji. Foneology is proud to have been chosen by the Fijian Government to implement such technology in Fiji.
In 2015 Foneology became an agent for Gatso traffic enforcement cameras, and successfully installed and commissioned the first Gatso redlight and speed camera in Fiji within 8 weeks.

We help people of the community we operate in - both through active involvement and sponsorship of local events. Some of the areas we have assisted the community in include providing building signage for Ra Police Headquarters in Rakiraki. Foneology was also the major sponsor of the Foneology Corporate Challenge that assisted the Fiji Triathlon Association in raising funds to send a team of elite athletes to the South Pacific Mini Games in the Cook Islands. Foneology sponsored a Queen contestant in the Hibiscus charity festival in 2014 and 2015.
